AUDIOLOGICAL (HEARING)
EVALUATIONS

Hearing tests are a series of diagnostic procedures used to determine the type, degree, and configuration of hearing loss. The goal of this evaluation is to develop a treatment plan that is unique to the patient's needs in order to improve their communication skills.

CUSTOMIZED
HEARING TREATMENT

Following a diagnostic evaluation with a patient, we offer non-medical treatment options for patients in need. We have a variety of hearing aids available with an emphasis on fully programmable, digital technology. Our patients have the satisfaction of knowing that we only work with the best hearing aid manufacturers and constantly evaluate them for quality, service and delivery history, as well as the customer return and complaint record in deciding whether or not to use them as treatment options.

TINNITUS EDUCATION

There are well-established treatments for patients struggling with severe, chronic tinnitus. The primary objective for all currently-available tinnitus treatment options is to lower the perceived burden of tinnitus, allowing the patient to live a more comfortable, unencumbered, and content life. There is currently no scientifically proven cure for most cases of chronic tinnitus — in particular the vast majority of cases caused by sensorineural hearing loss. The search for a definitive cure is ongoing and real progress is being made, but there is currently no clinically proven way to fully eliminate the perception of tinnitus.

VESTIBULAR (BALANCE)
ASSESSMENTS

Balance tests are a series of tests performed to help identify the cause of dizziness or vertigo. These tests evaluate the oculomotor system and the function of the vestibular system in the inner ear that can help distinguish between abnormalities in the vestibular system, brainstem, and cerebellum.

NEW
HEARING EXPERIENCE CENTER

Audiology Associates Hawaii recognizes the limitations in treating patients’ hearing loss in a stark office environment. At the office you don’t get to experience some of the frustrating aspects of hearing loss such as talking to family members when the television is on, or having conversations when someone is doing the dishes. As a result, Audiology Associates Hawaii provides, exclusive to its patients, a natural home setting to discuss and receive counseling and to experience smart home technologies that you can easily install in your house or apartment.
